3.0 to 3.6 Upgrade

Trying to get this 400 from 3.0 to 4.0 so tried to do the 3.0 to 3.6 last night but couldn't get the thing to do a proper backup. It starts ok, says the Report1 thing and looks like it starts but never get anything on the screen past the part that says BRU Processing. Please wait. It says this for hours on end. Nothing shows up in my shared folder either so \i know it's not doing it. I even tried backing up to the E drive with the same result.

Any ideas, short of a sledge hammer?

Usually when problems occur with backups there is a stuck drive mapping somewhere in the system. If I remember correctly you can view all drive mappings under the maintenance tools screen. Otherwise, type net use at a command prompt and see what drives might be connected. You can disconnect them by typing net use y: /delete (subsitute the actual drive letter for "Y".

There was a BRU patch for release 3.0 if memory serves me correctly that dealt with backup issues if the number of voicemails stored on the system exceeded a certain amount. Its been too long for me to remember specifics though.
