2nd Request - cannot install perl mysql DBI???

We had been running AIX 4.2.1 for many years successfully. Recently we've upgraded to version 5.1L and applied the ML fixes. We've also re-installed mysql and attempted to install the perl_DBI's for mysql. Our installation through smit showed success. However, perl cannot find the DBI when run? We searched our directory trees and cannot find it. We reinstalled it and still cannot find it.

Any ideas, thought, recommendations??? We're quite frustrated as you can imagine.
