hi all,
I need a refresher course on programming a second AA on a merlin messaging system used with a legend R7 V10

I have group calling 771 set up with the two trunks that the customer wants to use, I have it overflowing to calling group 789. Now I don't remember the rest...I am pretty sure I need to create a mailbox in VM as 789 and assign it to AA #4...now comes the part I don't recall, do I create an adjunct to match the calling group...which it won't let me do, because it is already being used, do I need something in Members or a seperate Cover group???

I welcome all suggestions and appreciate them all!!!

Thanks!

Create mailbox 771 as AA-4. Since that's where the lines are assigned, and overflowing from, that's the extension number that will hit the voice mail.

Also assign the trunks to the Auto Attendant (option 6(?) in the AA menu) in case you also use Night Service to send them there.

You set up the 2nd AA overflow - the same as for the first AA. You create a second overflow group (say your 789 - with no members). This group should overflow to the existing voice mail group (usually 770 - the group that has the voicemail ports in it). Assign only the lines that are supposed to be answered by the second AA to this group (789). In the voice mail system, create a mailbox for the second AA that matches the 2nd overflow group number (789) and make it an AA mail box type (type 18 I believe for AA4). That's it.
