Hello all,
At the office there is a windows 98 SE machine that also acts as a dial-up server. I can connect to it from home just fine, and map network drives etc.....when I use my 98 box.

I just can't seem to connect to it using windows 2000 or windows XP for that matter. Each time I dial in, it says that I have failed authentication. I can connect using the same credentials with a 98 machine, but not with 2k or XP Pro.

It is a peer2peer network that I am connecting to. I have tried other 2k and XP Pro machines elsewhere and I am still not able to connect. As far as I know, I am using the basic settings and not encryption etc.... Has anyone ben able to dial in to their private network with 2K or XP Pro?

Thanx in Advance
