2924XL-EN Bad Ports

I have several Cisco 2924XL-EN switches where 1 or more (up to 15) of the ports are all amber from the time of boot. These ports are not usable. Everything appears fine on boot. Is there a way to reset them so that they're usable again? Thanks, John

Are they just shutoff or are they coming up bad in the POST ? If they are just shutoff , get into the switch and on each port do a "no shut " . If they are bad you can watch the bootup process on the console and it will probably tell you it has encountered a problem on those ports . You have do a little investigative work .
