Here is my problem.
Due to some network changes I was forced to use an allied telesyn fiber switch. The previous switch was a 2924 running 12.0XU and this was connected to a another 2924 running the same IOS version and worked fine. But when I hook up the Allied Telesyn it shows link on the Allied side and no link on the Cisco side. I have tested the following:
- The fiber is MMF and works with any other cisco switch.
- The allied telesyn is hardcoded for 100mbs and full duplex and I have set the 2924 to be the same.
- I have STP enabled on the LAN. There are no other links to this switch so a loop seems unreasonable.
- The 2924 in question is clustered but I have tried it unclustered and still no link.
- When looking at the Cisco the port states that it is DOWN.
I know the cabling is fine because it works with other switches and the allied telesyn is brand new. (I know this means very little) If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
