I have a customer whose new CUCM 11.0 install was completed by someone else. When [whomever] configured the gateway, they configured a SIP trunk to the gateway and the gateway is H323 with a 23 channel PRI. I have never seen this kind of configuration before. They are now experiencing jabber issues. I was wondering if configuring the SIP trunk to an H323 gateway would be an issue. It's wild ass guess, only because I have never seen this type of set up. I would have thought the device was added as a gateway (either MGCP or H323)in CUCM with a PRI attached.

Thank you for any suggestions, ideas or random thoughts.

I personally hate when people do this type of config but yes its feasible.

Thank you. I didn't understand it and I personally believe it causes problems. Yesterday the router stopped functioning completely and needed a hard reboot. It could be unrelated but I don't think so.

I highly doubt that. Unless there was a major call loop causing the cpu to max out or something.
