Hi, are the 290 and 293 similar? I picked them in the hopes that they are, in the same way that the 228 and 229 are similiar.

I hate studying for the 290 - ugh. But uCertify hasn't let me down yet. Has anyone else used uCertify exams to pass the 290?

If the 228 & 229 were any indication, I will pass if I do the 290 exam... but not fun to memorize the answers to 300+ questions! (well not memorize, just make sure I have the "correct" answers in mind)

The 293 and the 290 are different from each other. The 290 is about managing a server. 293 is for setup and maintenance of the network infrastructure.

icemel,

In my recollection of these exams from over a year ago, the 70-291 exam included some of the same concepts as 70-290. Maybe about 20% or so.

The 70-293 exam included quite a bit of material that was already tested by both 70-290 and 70-291, with Server Clustering and Load Balancing thrown in. The new material was probably at least 50% of the exam.

Passing the 70-290 won't guarantee you a pass on the 70-293, but quite a bit of the textbook will seem familiar.

Hi, I flunked the 290 using uCerify exams. I can't recommend them for this exam. Just an fyi. I will pass next time, though ;-)
