I have two networks attached to a Cisco 2811, 10.36.0.0 and 24.154.0.0. Currently i have the gateway of last resort set to the 10 network. With the last resort being set to the 10 netowrk the 24 netowrk is not reachable. If i change the last resort route to the 24 network it begins to work and the 10 network becomes unreachable. Is there a way to have both networks become reachable with a staic route?

When setting your default gateway you are telling the router where (which interface or IP address) to go for networks that are not directly connected. The two networks you list here 10.36.0.0 and 24.154.0.0 are directly connected. So for instance if I needed to get to the 8.8.8.8 address (Google DNS) then the router would use my default route to get there. Say the 24.154.0.1 is the router for my ISP then I would set...

Code:
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 24.154.0.1

The router would then send packets bound for 8.8.8.8 to 24.154.0.1.

I need a bit more detail to help.
the 10 network and the 24 network - what are they use for?
The 10 network is private and the 24 is public, but it could be the 10 network is being used by the ISP.

What are you trying to accomplish in all of this, what is the desired result?
