2811 routers and CEF

We are using 2811 routers in a STAR configuration with just static routes. I know that in IOS CEF is turned on by default but I was wondering does it have any affect in the 2811 routers, or should I just use no ip CEF in all the 2811s.

I do not believe that there is any issue leaving it on...



I have not had any issues with CEF!!!

CEF does not jive with certain applications, like maybe something with VoIP, but I am not sure what...maybe some routing deal, like...crap...can't think of what I want here...

It should be left on it is cisco's fast switching mechanism they use by default . If you turn it off it will just go to lower and slower form of switching. Light reading for when you can't sleep at night on the different forms of switching.
