2801 series router problem

I have a cisco 2801 router. I believe that the gui interface is completely corrupt and I can only connect to it using hyperterminal, i cannot get onto the cisco site and DL a new version it is asking for a service level agreement etc which I do not have, any idea's. I have posted the error messages that I am getting,

Your config register is probably wrong , do a show version and look for the config register value, should be 0x2102 , if not change it and reboot . At the rommon will it load when you do a " boot flash:c2801-ipbase-mz.124-1c.bin" command ?
 
All you need to do is this:

BOOT=c2801-ipbase-mz.124-1c.bin
sync
reset


That's all you need to do..if you only have one image that command is not even necessary. I used that router and have worked on this nearly most of the time. Trust me, I know this command I just mentioned will work. Again if you only have one flash file then that's not even necessary, then what you must do is change the boot sequences.

Do this:

confreg

press enter all the way to the Boot Character then press y, choose 1, normally there are 3 different choices. You want one because it will allow the router to boot to the first current flash on file. If you have a couple flashs and want to boot it up specifically then yes use the BOOT= command remember it has to be in CAPS the first 4 letters, then sync, then reset, boom, done...
