I recently got a used Cisco 2610 Router and I have configured it and it seems to be working fine, however, the systems on my network are receiving a broadcast message from the router polling for a tftp server. I don't have, nor do I want to use a tftp server. I'm guessing this was something that was configured previously.

Here's a sample of a message that my firewall is putting into /var/log/messages (I removed the actual IP of my router):

Mar 6 22:53:22 Server237 kernel: Packet log: input DENY eth0 PROTO=17 <IP OF ROUTER REMOVED>:3318 255.255.255.255:69 L=49 S=0x00 I=2 F=0x00

Can anyone assist me in turning this off? Here's the version info of my router:

do a show run and see if theres a command like
boot system tftp filename . If so remove the command this will resolve your problem. Good luck !! #-)
Jeter@LasVegas.com Remember to pass Cisco's CCNA you need at least an 849 to pass!!!
