Hello everyone,
I was basically given several 2610 routers to use for a CCNP lab. One of the routers is giving strange characters during the boot sequence. The hyperterminal session then shows no more input or output. The relevant portion is below:
cisco 2610 (MPC860) processor (revision 0x00) with 28672K/4096K bytes of memory.
Processor board ID JAD0635062B (752511127)
M860 processor: part number 0, mask 49
Bridging software.
X.25 software, Version 3.0.0.
Basic Rate ISDN software, Version 1.1.
1 Ethernet/IEEE 802.3 interface(s)
1 Serial network interface(s)
1 ISDN Basic Rate interface(s)
32K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.
8192K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)
GT#š
This last line - GT#š -is where it freezes. I have reset the baud to 9600 just in case and have also tried to connect to the console using minicom and I get the same results with more garbage characters.
Is there anyway to fix this? If not, is there any way for me to configure this router so I can at least connect to it by telnet?
Thanks,
BWM
