Is there any way to circumvent the 254 character string limit?

I have 5 string fields which are all description fields in the database. i.e Description1, Description2...

I want to treat these fields as one text field in the report so the report when exported, exports each record containing all of the description fields as one field.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Try inserting these fields into a text object. Meaning, create a text field as if you were going to type text, then drag these objects into it. You may need a spave between them, or perhaps you'd prefer a carriage return (chr(13).

OR

You could try concatenating them prior to bringing them into CR, or using a SQL Expression to do so in CR (which in effect does the same thing). The problem is that you can't use them in formulas then because they will now exceed 254.
