Hi, Iam trying to connect my 2454 cisco router to my cable modem. Iam running 11.3 IOS and the router has 2 eithernet ports. Although my ISP said that i have a dynamic IP address, they havent changed the address in about 4 months. What protocols and what configuration should i use? Do I have to use NAT? Do I really need to upgrade the IOS to 12.1 since the IP address barely ever changes? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.
