2521 Router fails complete start-up...full description inside.

Ok first of all I would like to say that I am new to Cisco Systems. I am currently doing a personal home study for my CCNA Cert. Recently I was given a 2521 Router with which to start my journey.

Here is my problem. When I turn on the router, I observe the boot up sequence via Hyperterminal, everything seems to go fine until it get to one line, and there it hangs, never completing the boot sequence. The line it hangs on is this.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Please bear in mind that I am new to this field of study, so if you are able to give advice, could you please make it plain?

I really appreciate any advice/help you may offer.

What happens when hit the enter key after it gets to this point ? Do you get a router prompt or a password prompt ?

 

[TSEngineer]

The failed lobe test is given when you do not have a Token Ring (with nodes) attached to the Token Ring port. You should be able to hit <Enter> and continue.
