Hello. I have a 2501 router with 16mb flash, 16 mb of dram and the latest fw1 and fw2. I'm currently running aaa0850.bin which is Version 12.0(6). I cannot upload any new images at all. i have tried to copy the image from config maker, TFTP and FTP and still get a "Text checksum error" I have the actual sho ver if anyone can assist me.

--Thanx in advance

first of all can you ping or copy your flash to the tftp server. If yes, use the sh ver command and make sure your flash is not partioned. If it is you will have to unpartiton it and then copy your new image to the router.I recently upgraded the memory and IOS of my 2501 and came across a similar problem.
hope this helps

p.s don't forget to backup your current flash.

hi rbaxter.
would you beleive that the cd image that i got from cisco was not copied correctly! it kept giving me a "text checksum error" and according to cisco, that means that the image from the tftp or ftp server was not being copied correctly. i then got another image c2500-12-0(7)T was was able to copy it correctly. life lesson, if something is new, that doesen't mean its good!!
