Hi all,

i have a 2 questions,
What is the right CLI command to perform fast start-up for ports in the 2500 switch?, i tried the one used in both 470 and the 5500 it give invalid value
please need your help if any one know the right command because doing that for a 50 switch using JDM is a night mare.

the other question i want to make a backup copy of the configuration file for the 2500. what is the best practice to that?

Best Regards

For the fast start change:

interface fastethernet all
spanning-tree learning fast

To copy the config, have a TFTP server app running somewhere on a PC. Enter the following command:

copy config tftp address X.X.X.X filename config.cfg (or whatever you'd like to call the file).

thank you biv343 for this help.
but one last thing should i backup each switch a lone in a stack, or i can put all the stack in one config.cfg file ?!

and thank you all.

best regards.

If they are stacked, the config file of the stack is backed up in entirety in the one backup file.
