2500 non display phone ringing volume

Any idea how to lower or change the ring volume on the non-display 2500 set?

if it's a true analog 2500 set, there should be Should be a slider on the bell. If it's a Electronic 2500 there should also be a slider for that. All the 2500's that I've seen have some way to raise/lower the the ringing.

If its a true analog set with the bell and its missing the slider, a little electrical tape on the bell under the striker works too.
