Sadly yes, the feature you're referring to is called 'Visual Voice' and it unique to the 20 Series phones - not the 2400 Series.
Really sad with all the new 2400's/4600's how little they use the large display space for menu functions during calls, all that space is reserved for when the phone's idle on-hook.

The entire DS-series are disappointing..
They haven't managed to use the display-keys at all! If you call a busy ext, why don't you get any options in the display? And so on..

I always use the 6408/16 and thay work great, but the new stations without the button/lights look nice but are not good in use.
