Hola!

It's been a while, but can someone remind me of the procedure on how to turn off and on the Operator Console on the 2400HDS? We have the old fashioned, big console for the operator. The model # slips me at the moment, but I will find it if needed.

We're experiencing cross-talk with our overhead paging system, and while I think it is a user error, the local techs insist that it has happened before and a reset of the console will fix it (as it supposedly has in the past).

Anyways, I think the process is to put the switchboard into NIGHT mode, then busy out the console card in the PBX, remove the card, remove the 25pr amphenol from the console, and then repeat this process in reverse.

Please and thanks!

Unplug the handset/headset to place the system in night. MBTK for 901.

Hmmm...I seem to remember frying a console by not pulling out the card. I believe there is power sent over the 25 pair amphenol. Can you confirm?

By all means, after the above, switch the card to busy with the front edge switch, then unplug it before unplugging the amp cable.

There's a night button they push in. But are you saying that also unplugging the handset will auto-place the system into NIGHT mode?

Use the button if that works. There was a setting somewhere either in ASYD or a switch on the card that places it in night when the handset/headset is removed.
