2400 IPX Mat Password 1

Dear all,

Can anyone tell me if i am going to maintain the system installed by someone else and if they have put the Login Name and password , is it possible to get it back? or can i over rite it? coz the customer doesn't know about the password. or else is there any other way to enter the Mat Command?

No you have to get the password either from the previous maintainer or ask NEC if they can get it for you. However I've never heard of even NEC hacking the password out of a 2400 IPX. The one point worthy of mention here is that if the customer requests the password from the installer, they are legally obliged to supply it.
