Recently had an AD40 go bad for unknown reasons, and customer replaced with a Duvoice 2000 unit. Prior to replacing, the AD40 still worked, but after whatever happened happened, if you had messages, your MWI and Glass button lights blinked with or without messages, and if you did not have any messages, your lights remained off with or without messages. Now that new unit is active, the phones whose lights were off are working properly, but the phones whose lights were on before the change, still remain blinking... I have tried the cmwl command, and even before the system swap, I did the lights reset from the AD-40, with no effect... Any ideas?.. contacted NEC, they had me check ASYD sys 1 435, and it was off, and they have no idea how both lights were turning on in the first place.... I have just read the June 29th thread, and saw the info on reseting the IO24, but I do not remember the effect that it will have on the switch when busied.. and if anyone else out there has any ideas or options, please let me know, all will be appreciated......

Search out a copy of the MCI emulator (or get NEC to bring in a copy), connect it to your system and turn the lights off with that! Least messy way I can think of if you are unsure about resetting the IO24!

I finally got fed up and busied the cards, pulled them ( all the elc cards) and reseated them, and that cleared the lights..... go figure... thanks for the reply
