I have two network connections to each of my SN1455 CPRAQ-A cards going to a network Hub and was wondering if there was a way to access this PBX via an IP address with MAT software? Is there a command to find/change the programmed IP address for access? There are no IP phones on this PBX as it's ran off a PRI configuration.

Depending on the software version the IP address is either done in ASYDL, sys 1, index 513, 514, 515, or with command ADTM.
To log in via IP, set up your log in account and select TCP/IP and not serial or modem. The port number is 60000.

Ok, there is no available ADTM command but I did look at the ASYDL command and now realize how to set the IP, Subnet, and Gateway addresses.

Just a few questions:
Will this affect my direct connection to the terminal in the room on the IOC port?
I read that I will have to perform a SINZ command (Non-load Initialization) on the PBX. Do you know approximately how long this will affect service and any precautions I should take. I have current backups on floppy and on the MAT. From my research, it looks as if a SINZ Type 1 reboot is effectively like a recovery after an extended power outage and the system is designed to recover on its own.

I'm concerned about MWI's as well and will have to look into seeing if the Octel has a command to reinitialize MWI's that should be active if that would be needed.

A few things to prep. Perform a MEM_HDD. Get a copy off of the PBX (floppy or CF depending on your versions). If redundant CPU, switch to CPU 0 and time division side 0. Wait for a quiet time (after hours), then perform the SINZ. It is a soft reset which takes less than a minute, but PRI's and CCIS links take a little longer to re-sync. Afterward, test, test, test.
As for the Octel MWI, I am not up to speed on it but most if not all VM's have a MW re-sync. option.
I believe there is a way to reset the NIC card without a SINZ, but I am not schooled in the procedure. Maybe someone else in the forum knows.

Thanks for all the good info. I'm going to do some more research on the Octel. As far as the 2400, everything I've read so far states needing a non-load restart, but if there's another way, that would be even better.
