24 bit colour vs 256 colours

Hello- I'm sure I've read an article somewhere saying that using 24 bit colour is more bandwidth friendly then 256 colour. Does anyone know if this is true?

True.

Citrix has made an algorithm, that makes MF work better at 24 and 16 bit color, then 256 colors. So remember to use the nice colors.
