Hi:

I am planning to move a 2250 console from one location to another. I know the primary TN and the back up as well as the 2 power TNs.
However, the cable form the console has 6 pairs terminated in the bix block. I am not sure if the other 2 pairs are redundant.
Does anyone have a mapping of how the console cable should be terminated.

Thanks in advance.

those are the only 4 pair you'll need to bring the console back up.. and i usually skip the power tn's unless the 2250 is 200 ft or more from the switch

Thanks John,

In the location where the console is going to be placed I will need to re-terminate the console cable.

Could you tell me which color cables that are terminated on the D-type console connector should be terminated to the Primary, Backup and Power TNs.

Thanks again.

white blue white orange for the two tn's then battery and groung go to red green orange red green, b+ on both sides of the red green and b- on both sides of the red orange.

Thanks again:

Are there any distance limitations?

Also, could someone refer me to a document that would have a diagram of the cross-connects.

So far it's clear to me that:

Blue pair is the primary TN
Orange pair is the secondary TN
I am not sure which pairs are for power TNs, battery or power fail line.
