I already have similar problem... I send the console to repair (test and clean) and after that, everything working fine. The console was "dirty", I suppose!!
i replaced console 3 times previously and still same prblm
i have replaced the digital line card this TN resides on
maybe it will take care of the prblm. will let you know how it turns out [thanks for your imput]
I have seen where the handset cord is faulty. Since the black connector is required to be installed for the phone to be functional, try replacing the handset(curly) cord and see if that helps.
Also - make sure your console has the power tns connected to spec. This is often left out and works ok if not far from switch and you have a newer console. You might have replaced the old one with an older release?
Also - I have seen a few problems when the console is not on ports 0 and 1 of a card.
