We currently have a nurse call system that uses a server connected to a 2246 OAI gateways to send text notifications to the 6140 spectralink VOIP (UNISTM) wireless phones via a RS-232 connection. They are changing out the server to a new one that does not have RS-232 connectivity and we would like to use TCP/IP if possible. We saw under the OAI Box Configuration an option to turn on the NetLink Gateway. Does this allow the use of TCP/IP and if so, under the OAI Line Configuration section, do we put in the Hostname of the new server, the port is the line number of the telephone in their server and the IP Address is the address of their server? The documentation on the 2246 just states that "if your application can work over the LAN then you don't need the RS-232 cable".
