Team hello.
Can anyone help with the ports needed in order to make a 2050 V 4.4 softphone funtion properly on BCM50R6 using the remote worker feature?
I use a 2002 IP set as remote worker user and all good. I register a 2050 V 4.4 ( SP8) and i get no dialtone. So some ports are needed and are not either assigned to the router table or something else is wrong with the softphone.
Any suggestions?

thanks

Nikos

Just a thought, but as your computer is Windows 10, have you tried disabling your firewall first before using the 2050 softphone as I recently came across a problem whereby I couldn't ping my own Windows 10 laptop across a customers network when testing out IP addresses and was annoyed that my own firewall was the cause as Windows 10 has tighten up more ports.

I needed to change an incoming rule to enable ping requests again.

No the test computer with the latest 2050 V4.4 is a WIN7 PRO 32 BIT Machine.
If i use the 2050 V4.4 to connect to a BCM whithin the same lan, all good.
If i connect to remote worker ( NO VPN) then there is no dialtone.

Thanks Nikos

This seems to me that the newer 2050 software releases require extra ports on the router to be used. I'll see if I can find out anything.
