2050 softphones in call center environment

I have been tasked with looking into changing over our Call center from 1140 phones to 2050 softphones. Currently we only use the 2050 for remote agents.

I have my reservations, but am asking for thoughts on this.

Something to keep in mind, we are technical call center. Users have some elevated privileges as they must at times be unable to uninstall/reinstall programs when trouble shooting.

I don't see a problem as long as your BW is good and you have good usb headsets, on that install/uninstall, anything requiring a re-boot you're screwed obviously.

I am more concerned with end users have elevated privleages, and installing programs that could conflict with 2050, or take up system resources making 2050 unreliable.
