2050 softphone on bcm 50

We have a client that we recently upgraded the BCM50 from 3.0 to 6.0
He is using 5 IP 2050 softphones on 5 lap tops older version 1.0 or 2.0…
I downloaded a trial 3.0 for him and sent it to him
He set it up on one lap top and likes the newer options.
He wants to buy 5 upgrades.
I ordered a license for him to get the first one completed as the 30 day trial was up.
As per my instructions I ordered the license and got it-NTDW84CA IP 2050 UPGRADE TO RLS 3.0
I WENT INTO KRS UNDER 2050 SOFTPHONE SET UP CLIENT DATFIXSOFTPHONES AS A SITE
REGISTERED new license under mac address of laptop as instructed so its node specific
We now have a licence key generated

The issue is where do we install it- The bcm says not correct type of license-I would assume it needs to go into the laptop to the 2050 trial…
