When end users are already on a call using 2050 IP Softphone and then paste a string to an IVR (usually a conferance bridge room number) it will paste faster than the software is able to handle. More often than not 3 to 4 numbers will be pressed and then the softphone application will hang for a few seconds before the remaining numbers are pressed. That delay usually times out the IVR that is waiting for the bridge number and asks for it to be re-entered.

Entering the bridge number in manually works without issue but that is because of the natural delay between numbers that you would expect from human entry. Is there a way to delay the paste into 2050 IP Softphone and add maybe half a second in between each number?

Our current deployed release version is 4.04.0106

Example I call a business that is answered by Auto Attendant and then enter the dept ext/DN

18005555555PP200

I give it 2 pauses so that the site gets a chance to ring on their end as well AA to answer before it enters the DN of 2000, you could play with it though and put a Pause anywhere you want.

So enter the pauses and paste them in before going off hook. Then any application lag wouldn't be a problem. Good idea I'll try that!
