Hello Team.
Can anyone confirm if the latest softphone 2050 , 2050 IP Softphone for Windows PC Release 4.4 Service Pack 9 is compatible with BCM400 release 4.0 ?
the issue i face it that although it gets registered OK there is no audio at all.
Any ideas? I cannot use the 2.0 version due to the fact that the antivirus of the customer blocks the installation saying that there is kind of virus !!
I even used the original Nortel 2050 CD with the software and still it gets deleted by antivirus.
the user i am installing is home based connected over VPN.

thanks
Nikos

Since I doubt 4.4 is compatible with 400's I would say the client needs to get IT to allow the software (make a rule).

I recall that you need a licence for the 2050 softphone from version 3 onwards. I'm not sure if the BCM 400 ever supported the inclusion of a token in the IP section as it needed the IP address of the computer running the later 2050 software although I think you did get a 60 or 90 day trial period.
