Hi,
I've inherited a 403 system to support. We have the IP403DT and also the IP400 with 8 POT ports.
We currently have all 10 POT ports patched and in use.

I've bought 5 2030 phones to use on the DT ports.
I would rather not patch them into the patch panel, I've tried plugging them directly into the 403 using rj45 to bt connector but the phones are totally dead!!
Tried this out with one of the POT sockets, they work fine.

Do I need a special connector? I have a loads of secondary rj45 to BT adaptors and a single PABX rj45 to BT adaptor.

Thanks

Richard

unfortunatly standard master adapters will not work with the IPO

The DT phone uses pins 3&4 on the BT plug, these need connecting to pins 4&5 on the rj 45 skt.

the easiest option is to remove the bt pug & fit an rj45 plug (just use middle 4 connections)

Hi,
Thanks for the post!
I've solved the issue!! The phones were purchased from a bankruptcy auction, I dropped one this afternoon and noticed the main cable in the bottom looked a bit loose....

On further inspection the cable was non-standard, replaced with a cable from a normal analoque telephone....phone now works!!
