Hello -
I have a new 2003 server with RRAS set up for VPN users. Everything seems to be configured correctly - when I try to connect to it from the outside, I get in, get past security, and even get a IP address relayed from our the DHCP server on the internal network and the connection stays alive. Only problem is it appears to be "dead".
The 2K3 box has an internal IP of 192.168.1.14 and it looks like when RRAS was set up, it established sone kind of a loopback router IP for itself of 192.168.1.170. When I connect, I get a valid IP, and the gateway on the remote machine gets set to the .170 address. Problem is I can't see anything on the internal network - can't ping other hosts, nor can I ping the .170.
This must be some very basic routing thing since the hard part of authentication and access through my firewall have been conquered.
Thoughts?
thanks.
