Is it possible to get 202 analog single line handsets on a Nortel MICS? If so what configuration wold I use. This is for a simple motel that just needs a single line handset with voice mail and auto attendant for local dialing only no long distance so no SMDR for rebilling of long distance.

Theoretically, yes. With 7.1 XC software you could have 24 0x8 modules on two 6-port expansions for 192 analog stations. You could then use 10 ATA's to convert digital stations on the core to get you to 202. That leaves you with 22 digital stations available. If you need voicemail you'll have to use a CallPilot 150 with over 200 mailboxes activated. However, you'll only have 2 slots available for trunk cards, so only 8 analog trunks at best.

You can fond them for as cheap as $49 and if you order 202 i bet you can get them cheaper, also analaog phones are a pain in the ass to maintain

My math shows even 7208's and 0X16's will be about half the cost of ASM's and 500 sets.

Just be sure you disable the paging feature on the t7100 or m7100 phones.
You wouldn't someone paging a midnight rendezvous over the entire hotel lol.

If you use t7100 phones, be sure to put double stick tape on the underside of the one assigned feature button and maybe program it for the front desk.

They seem to want to stay with a traditional analog style hotel motel phone. They want to reduce costs by keeping their existing inventory of analog desk phones.

I agree that the M or T 7100 or even 7208's would be much easier and reduce the wall space needed.

Their wiring closet is a horror story!
