My full system backups are skipping "D:\VS1V" because of a bad block.

Question:

1) what is stored in D:\VS1V?

2) is it safe to run chkdsk? to try to fix the error; or is it recommended that Nortel remote into the server

Unfortunately because of the bad block the backup are only partial.

VS1V is the voice multi-media volume for CallPilot. It is ok to run chkdsk, but you might already have a new hard drive on hand when you do. Once blocks start going bad on CallPilot, you're living on borrowed time.
