2008 Terminal Services

I have set up a single 2008 ts I am using the web to serve apps to my users. It works fine on the domain it works ok browsing it over the internet using it's IP but when I connect to it over the internet by its URL it lets me log in but when I click on an application it says the server can not be found
Any one else hade this or has any ideas all help appreciated
