2008 r2 license server "not connectable"

I am setting up a brand new citrix xenapp farm. New domain, all 2008 r2. Two servers with RDS installed, also 2008 r2. The first server is my license server, and it is fully activated and got 150 user RDS CALs installed from microsoft. First server is working fine, shows 150 licenses available for clients.

On the second server, when I attempt to specify the first server as its license server, I get this error:

"The license server selected is not connectable at this moment. If the license server is of Windows 2008 version then the ordering of the specified LSes cannot be maintained. Do you still want to add the license server to the list?"

Hi acl03, can you the second server communicate with the first server over port 135?
Port 135 is used for license server communication

Reading a bit more it also uses a dynamic port above 1024 (good old RPC)

Paul, thanks for the replies. There is no firewall between the servers, but using the IP instead of the name seemed to work. No idea why, the name resolves to the IP just fine when using ping or nslookup.
