hi everyone,

I dont know of any way to set a priority for a query or a job in SQL server 2005. A developer insists there is a way to set the priority to low so his query doesnt kill the server.

Isolation levels, yes but am I missing something? There is no priority for MSSQL, right?

Thanks, John

... I forgot to mention this.

He says it runs OK and does not take all resources when he runs the SSIS package, but when he runs the SQL stmt in Management Studio, it takes 100 % CPU.....
