2005 job notification setup 1

Okay I'm stuck!!!

Ive setup database mail and pointed it to out mail server which is fine as I can email out using tsql.


Now I have created a job whichI would like to email on success however on notification when you select email nothing comes up.

I have enabled the agent mail using db mail with the profile that I setup.

Then what? Also in the alert system within the agent I can't test.

Create an operator with a valid email address and add the to the notifications tab on the SQL Agent job you create.

I have setup an operator with my email address then selected the operator for when job completes.


Nothing! no email sent. Am I missing something?

did you select the option to send email when job completes or take the default to send email when job fails?

No but I forgot to restart the agent

you don't need to re-start the agent for any of these changes to take effect. Is it working now?
