Hi all,
Currently have sql 2005 express which was installed as part of sharepoint 2007 so has a named instance of officeserver.
Somehow it also has a default instance installed, I think when someone installed MS Retail Management System on the server!!!!!!!!
Ideally I'd like to upgrade the default instance to sql 2005 or 2008 enterprise so from what I've read I think my upgrade paths are these????
using the -skuupgrade option upgrade the default instance to sql 2005 workgroup or sql 2008 workgroup
then sql 2005 or 2008 workgroup to enterprise
I will leave the officeserver instance alone to keep sharepoint going with a mind to move the DBs to the enterprise install at a later date
Does this look like the correct way to go?
Many thanks
Paul
