I am developing a VB.net app that will use 2005 Express with Advanced Services as the database. The client wants to use an XP box instead of a dedicated server to host the database. There would only be 3-5 users connected at one time and fairly light usage for all of the users. Are there any issues, limitations, or problems with this setup that I should be aware of? I've seen some posts on restrictions on the number of users, but that seems to be for remote users. Any guidance/experience would be appreciated.

That should be fine, provided that the database does not grow beyond 4 Gigs in size.

There's a document management system that has a workaround for the 4Gb limit also. On SQL or Oracle, they use 1 DB. On MSDE/SQL Express they partition into two DBs to give more capacity.

Thanks to both of you. I don't think the 4Gb limit will be a problem for this app.
