I installed Office 2003 a while back and I just tried to use the Link Table Manager and the dialog box pops up but doesn't show any tables. There are linked tables in the Table list.

I took a database and used the Split Database and created linked tables and tried the Link Table Manager on this DB and came up with the same problem.

Crazy????

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

The reason is there is a BUG in the 2003 Access where if there is a copy of Access 97 also installed on the same computer this will occur. There is a fix on the Microsoft Knowledge Base but I tried it and didn't help.

Sorry I don't have the link to the KB article, but you can go there and do a search.

I have to keep a copy of Access 97 running along with Access 2003 and my company still uses Access 97 and will soon be converting over to 2003 and at that time I'll just delete Access 97.

If you are going to delete Access 97, there is a program from MS called 97 Eraser that will remove all remaining files even after you do a remove from the Control Panel.

Hope this helps.
