I am ordering a Dell 2650 to set up a 2003 Domain Controller in a new (test) domain. The 2650 is coming with 4 physical SCSI hard drives. What would you all recommend for drive partitioning? I was thinking on doing to RAID 1's. One for SYSVOL and the other for system, OS and logs...Sound like the right approach?

This sounds like a good approach. The main recommendation is to keep the database and logs on two seperate hard disks.

During the install of Active Directory, you will have a choice to create the AD database folder and the AD log folder. It is best to keep these two locations on seperate hard drives for performance reasons.

The performance problem isn't really a problem in a small environment, the issue becomes more evident in a larger environment.
