I have a 2000ivs that I can not remotely connect too,all I get is a busy. Direct connect is fine, could the cp14 telco side gone bad?

look at cm 4010>1

it will show the extension assigned to the modem, then see if it assigned in cm 10. It may be duplicated. If so you will have to delete the extensions in an offline mode.

When direct connected using rs1 and top switch out on dip switch above reset button on cp-14,cmd 4010>1>wrong. Try to program right number an it says busy.

No nor cmd 11,I'm thinking the cp14 has gone bad in the telco side since we live in a high lightning area. Thanks for all and any help.

First go to a spare LEN in CM 11 or CM 10 and try to assign the extension number you thought the modem was. If it assigns go ahead and delete it again. If it says already assigned at this address go to that address and delete it.
You may have to place the CP14 in the off line mode and then go to CM 4010 and CCC out the entry there and the other LEN if a duplicate is found. Remove the duplicate first though.
Then place the MP back on line.
