I have a windows 2000 server that was it's own domain..I need to join it to a 2003 domain. I ran dcpromo and removed AD. The 2000 server is now a member of a workgroup. I connected it to the netwok, but when I try to join the domain I get 'network path was not found.' I've flushed the DNS...so any thoughts or ideas.. I'm stuck...any help would sure be appreciated. :)

Point it to the DNS server on the 2003 domain.

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

There are no more PDC's! There are DC's with FSMO roles!

Thanks DAvetoo....It is pointed at the DNS. Infact when I ping the domain name from this server I get the response from the correct IP address. When I try and join the domain, it accepts the domain name, and prompts me for the user name and password of the admin on that domain. This is where I get the response network path was not found.

Make sure there isn't any firewalls running on either server. Also try setting all your IP configs staticly in the 2000 server. Also what is doing DNS?
