Im new to vpn so please excuse me. I setup a 2000 server on my LAN. For internet access i use a cisco 1604 router 128k dial-up connection with a static ip. Do i also need a static ip for the vpn server? My isp won't give me a second ip. My goal is to let some remote users access my network through the internet during certain times. Any help, thank you.

no, you do not need a static ip. I use a private ID, but have to redirect PPTP ports to my private ID :

ex. port 1743 point to 192.168.0.4 ( i think thats the PPTP port)
port 47 points to 192.168.0.4 ( GRE Port i think )

it really works great, definately one of win 2K improvements over nt4.0
