2000 server Client using 4.5 bpbkar32 does not start backup

I have two server's one a Media Server and the other a Client which has the problem when a job is started the tape will be loaded and then the bpbkar starts on the server but the backup eventually times out

When I disable OTM The backup will go through.

Anyone have the same issue

It depends on yout OTM settings. Create the bptm and bpcd directories under netbackup\logs and then check both after you have kicked off a backup - You will likely find that OTM is set to abort on error.

I have used all three OTM settings and it still does the same thing.I have got the logs but am not sure what I would look for ?Can you give me any pointers.Will patching the server to the latest M_patch_level work ?

Do you try to reinstall the client and the MP´s. In my site ocurr the same problem in some machine and after verify the readings for the process find the bpbkar32 read to slow. Reinstall the Client of NB and reboot the machine and working fine again.
