2000 Pro is slow to boot and slowing down as are all applications

Windows 2000 Professional is very slow to bootup and slow in operation as are all applications. This has suddenly occured over the last 2 to 3 days. Help!!!

I had a server doing the same thing. It turned out to be a bad Nic. You might want to start by replacing your nic and if that doesn't do it try removing other cards so that you can narrow down your problem.
